[Asia Economy Reporter Heo Midam] Broadcaster Kim Eo-jun once again raised the 'Julie suspicion' regarding Kim Geon-hee, wife of Yoon Seok-yeol, the People Power Party's presidential candidate, on the 8th.

On this day, TBS Radio's 'Kim Eo-jun's News Factory' aired a phone interview with a woman in her 50s, Ms. A, who claimed to have met a woman using the stage name 'Julie' at a past entertainment bar.

Ms. A, who revealed she used to work as a day loan shark, asserted that Mr. Kim and the person known as 'Julie' are the same individual. In the interview, Ms. A began by saying, "I first saw 'Julie' in December 1995." At that time, she lent money to waiters working at nightclubs.

Ms. A said she arranged to meet those involved in money transactions at the nightclub 'Volcano,' and when she arrived at the drinking party, there was Chairman B, who also worked as a loan shark, and a woman dressed in a black suit.

Ms. A recounted, "That woman gave me a glance that felt like a glare. That look was very upsetting and unpleasant. I was curious about who she was, so I stared blankly at the chairman's face."

She continued, "The chairman said she was a girl who occasionally came here to meet him and that she was a university student," adding, "At that time, I had not heard the name 'Julie'." Ms. A later called Chairman B and learned that the woman was 'Julie.'

Ms. A also claimed that Chairman B asked her to "take Julie to the hospital because she seemed sick" and to "deliver a flower basket to Julie."

Regarding her memory, Ms. A said, "I have a very good memory. I don't even carry a phone book," adding, "I haven't even set speed dial on my mobile phone."

When asked why she appeared on the broadcast, Ms. A said, "(Mr. Kim) is lying," and added, "I believe it is natural to verify the First Lady, and I am testifying with the thought that the truth must be revealed."

In relation to this, Mr. Kim previously expressed her frustration in an interview conducted in June last year regarding the 'Julie' controversy, saying, "Even if I really wanted to be Julie, I don't have the time."

She said, "As time passes, everything will be covered up," and added, "Please investigate Julie once later." She further stated, "I have no reason whatsoever to be Julie."

The People Power Party also distributed explanatory materials titled 'Explanation Regarding Suspicions About Representative Kim Geon-hee' in December last year, stating, "Representative Kim Geon-hee has never been called 'Julie' nor worked at entertainment establishments. We clearly declare this to the public. Although it is a baseless story not worth a moment's consideration, we want to take this opportunity to clearly inform the public that it is false."

The People Power Party stated, "From 1996 to 1998, Ms. Kim was enrolled at Sookmyung Women's University Graduate School of Education, attending evening classes from 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. She commuted by driving herself over an hour from her home in Namyangju City to the school in Yongsan District, Seoul." They added, "The claim that Ms. Kim worked as a nighttime entertainment hostess while attending graduate school at night is unrealistic and a groundless slander."
