[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] North Korea held the 6th session of the 14th Supreme People's Assembly at the Mansudae Assembly Hall in Pyongyang on the 6th and 7th, according to a report by the Korean Central News Agency on the 8th.

Kim Jong-un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party, did not attend. Although Kim is not a delegate, he has attended several past sessions and delivered external messages through policy speeches, leading to speculation that he might attend this time as well.

At the meeting, Choe Ryong-hae, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly, delivered the opening and closing remarks, and discussions were held on last year's cabinet work, this year's tasks, and the budget and final accounts.
