At the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, Hwang Daeheon (Gangwon Province Office), Lee Junseo (Korea National Sport University), and Park Janghyuk (Sports Toto) all advanced to the semifinals in the men's 1000m short track quarterfinals. However, Park Janghyuk sustained an injury during the race, casting doubt on his participation.

On the 7th, at the Capital Indoor Stadium in Beijing, China, Hwang Daeheon crossed the finish line first in Heat 4 of the men's 1000m short track quarterfinals with a time of 1 minute 24.71 seconds. He successfully blocked overtaking attempts from his competitors and maintained the lead throughout the race. Lee Junseo finished first in Heat 2 with a time of 1 minute 23.683 seconds. Although he was pushed back to fifth place early on, he steadily moved up to take the lead.

In Heat 1, Park Janghyuk collided with Italy's Pietro Sighel, who aggressively cut into the inside lane with three laps remaining. Losing his balance, Park fell and then collided again with China's Wu Dajing, who was following behind. Park tried to get up and continue the race but sat down clutching his left hand in pain. The referee called for medical staff, and he was soon carried off the rink on a stretcher. Park advanced to the semifinals by advance but sustained a laceration on his left hand, making it difficult for him to compete. He is currently receiving treatment at a hospital.
