[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Sumi] A man in his 40s deceived a girl by lying about his age and repeatedly committed forced molestation and sexual assault, prompting a father’s petition demanding a thorough investigation.
On the 3rd, a petition titled "My 13-year-old daughter has been repeatedly raped and forcibly molested by a 45-year-old perpetrator" was posted on the Blue House National Petition Board.
The petitioner, Mr. A, said, "Three weeks ago, I sensed something was wrong with my daughter’s behavior and situation, but since she is not very talkative, I first sent her to a psychological center for treatment."
By chance, Mr. A saw his daughter’s phone and was horrified. A man, Mr. B (45), had lied to her that he was 25 years old and used the girl’s favorite group, BTS (Bangtan Sonyeondan), to gain her trust and requested a meeting. The daughter trusted Mr. B’s words and agreed to meet him.
Mr. A said, "He used the singer my daughter likes to win her favor, and due to the criminal’s cunning, my daughter was brainwashed, assisted, and controlled. My daughter attends a dance academy, and he trampled on her life in the parking lot of that academy."
According to Mr. A, Mr. B forcibly molested his daughter in the dance academy parking lot on December 14 and 16 last year, and sexually assaulted her on the 20th of last month.
Mr. A said, "My wife and I take our daughter to and from the dance academy, and Mr. B seemed to know this and targeted only the days she went to the academy to commit the crimes. It was very cunning. He took advantage of the two hours when my daughter was away from her parents."
Mr. B reportedly forced the daughter to say, "I love you, honey. You say you love me too," during phone calls. Mr. A claimed, "Mr. B first sent a text saying ‘I love you,’ and if she didn’t reply, he would control and brainwash her during the calls."
After learning about his daughter’s victimization, Mr. A met Mr. B three times in person and secured recorded evidence. Mr. A said, "Collecting evidence was so chilling and painful that I wanted to kill him. I couldn’t leave Mr. B alone, but I had to gather evidence for my daughter and my wife who has cancer."
Mr. A appealed, "It turned out Mr. B was also a father raising two children, including an 11-year-old daughter. From that position, how could he have such a devilish face and do this? It brings me to tears."
He added, "Mr. B was urgently arrested, and a warrant was immediately issued for his detention and investigation, but during his statement, he claimed it was ‘consensual,’" expressing his anger.
Finally, he emphasized, "Since the investigation, my daughter has been traumatized, going to the bathroom dozens of times. I hope the investigation proceeds thoroughly so that my adolescent daughter can overcome extreme pain and humiliation, and the case is not distorted but properly concluded."
As of 4 p.m. on the 5th, this petition has received over 18,600 signatures.
