"If You Sway with Polls, It's an Act of Treason"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Juhee] Actor Kim Eui-sung praised Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party of Korea's presidential candidate, as the "best candidate ever" and appealed for support.
On the 1st, Kim Eui-sung posted a message titled "Hey, you rookies" on the online community DC Inside's 'Lee Jae-myung Gallery.'
He opened by saying, "Since this is my third post, I'll speak informally. You should speak informally too," and added, "Please stop acting like sunfish swayed by opinion polls. Opinion polls have long ceased to be just polls and have become a distorted election tool."
He continued, "Getting swayed by them is exactly what they want, in other words, it is an act that benefits them, a betrayal," and claimed, "Once or twice is cute, three or four times is lack of intelligence, more than that is stirring up trouble."
He then emphasized, "Just light a candle in your heart, meet people, persuade them, share candles, and go to the polling station together. Then we will win."
Regarding this presidential election, Kim said, "It is the best candidate ever versus the weakest candidate ever," and added, "It's frustrating that it's so close, but this close race is the result of them pulling their souls together tightly. There is no more. If you keep being soft-hearted, I want to hit you, so let's be firm. Okay?" He concluded the post with, "Happy New Year. From Kim Eui-sung."
Meanwhile, Kim Eui-sung will make his directorial debut with the documentary film 'My Candle,' which will be released on the 10th. The film covers the behind-the-scenes story of former President Park Geun-hye's state affairs manipulation scandal and the candlelight protests. He co-directed it with reporter Joo Jin-woo, a member of 'I Am a Fool.'
