If 5 or More District Residents Gather, Full Instructor Fee Support for Classes Created with Desired Topic, Location, and Instructor
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Dobong-gu (Mayor Dongjin Lee) is recruiting students for the first session of the 2022 'Baedal Gangjwa Samsam O O' from February 1 to February 15.
'Baedal Gangjwa Samsam O O' is a demand-driven customized course where any group of five or more Dobong-gu residents can directly create a program they want.
Residents choose the course and learning space themselves, select a talent donor, and submit an application form. Then, a talent donation instructor is dispatched to the desired location to conduct the class.
In 2021, various classes such as Hanji craft, video media, ocarina, fret saw craft, and flower arrangement were held.
Now in its fourth year, Baedal Gangjwa Samsam O O accepts applications every even month (February, April, June, August, October) from the 1st to the 15th, with classes held five times starting the following month.
Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis up to 20 per session, and instructor fees are fully supported. For vulnerable groups, some material costs are also partially supported.
The first (1st) application for 2022 will be accepted from February 1 to 15, with classes scheduled for March to April.
Those wishing to apply can download the application form from the 'Baedal Gangjwa Samsam O O' menu on the Dobong-gu education portal ‘Dobong Baeum e Homepage’, fill it out, and submit it via email (eunhyo0323@dobong.go.kr) or visit the Lifelong Learning Center office on the first floor of Hakmaeul Library to apply in person.
Education locations can be searched under the ‘Dong Lifelong Learning Center’ menu’s ‘Learning Places’ on the homepage, and information on talent donors is available under the ‘Talent Donation’ menu.
Mayor Dongjin Lee of Dobong-gu said, “Baedal Gangjwa ‘Samsam O O’ is significant in connecting talent donors and education demanders to form a voluntary lifelong learning community. We will spare no support to establish a virtuous cycle lifelong learning system where any Dobong-gu resident can continuously learn anytime and anywhere, and share what they learn back with the local community.”
