According to Korea Expressway Corporation, based on a departure time of 3 PM on this day, the travel time by passenger car from Seoul Tollgate to major cities nationwide is 5 hours 20 minutes to Busan, 4 hours 10 minutes to Gwangju, 5 hours to Ulsan, 4 hours 30 minutes to Daegu, 2 hours 50 minutes to Daejeon, and 3 hours 10 minutes to Gangneung.
The nationwide traffic volume on this day is expected to be 4.47 million vehicles, about 300,000 fewer than the previous day, with 430,000 vehicles moving from the metropolitan area to local areas and 370,000 vehicles moving from local areas to the metropolitan area.
According to the Expressway Corporation, traffic congestion on the way home is expected to peak between 3 and 4 PM and ease from around 7 to 8 PM. Traffic congestion on the way back is expected to peak between 4 and 5 PM and ease around 7 to 8 PM.
