Gwangjin-gu Holds '2022 Core Project Strategy Report Meeting'

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gwangjin-gu (District Mayor Kim Seon-gap) held the '2022 Core Project Strategy Report Meeting' for three days starting from the 24th to actively promote the 2022 citizen experience projects.

The district organized the report meeting to thoroughly maintain the COVID-19 prevention system while meticulously managing policies and projects for the citizens.

This core project strategy report meeting focused on representative core projects of the district, including citizen experience-type projects and new projects, as well as major pending projects by department. It was conducted as a process to closely examine obstacles in the project implementation and discuss alternatives.

In particular, this year, efforts were made to discover citizen experience-type projects aimed at enhancing regional value and helping citizens fully recover their daily lives.

Representative projects include ▲ operation of the Gwangjin-type public delivery app ‘Ttaenggyeoyo’ ▲ customized management clinics for alleyway commercial districts ▲ installation and operation of a support center for single-person households ▲ 50+ internship ▲ youth caregiver support ▲ Achasan Ecological Park renovation ▲ postpartum health care cost support, among others.

Additionally, among the citizen experience-type projects promoted last year with high satisfaction, ▲ citizen life safety insurance ▲ Gwangjin Mom Taxi ▲ housekeeping care services for pregnant women ▲ transportation cost support for children and youth village buses will be expanded again this year.

Prior to this, to actively discover new citizen experience-type projects for 2022, the district held an early ‘New Project Report Meeting’ for four days from July 21 to 24 last year, discovering a total of 185 new projects. Among these, 128 were experience-type projects, nearly three times the 50 projects from the previous year.

Kim Seon-gap, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, said, “The report meeting was held to reaffirm our firm determination and will to steadily promote citizen experience-type projects for the citizens even amid the COVID-19 situation,” adding, “Going forward, all staff will do their best to operate district administration centered on citizens by continuously discovering experience-type projects to protect citizens’ lives and safety from COVID-19 with a more thorough prevention system and to improve quality of life.”
