[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] Regarding the landslide accident that occurred on the 29th at the Yangju quarry, Sampyo Industry stated, "We will concentrate all of the company's capabilities to closely cooperate with related organizations and make every effort to rescue the buried victims and manage safety at the site."
On the same day, Sampyo Industry made this announcement through a statement from CEO Lee Jong-shin, saying, "We deeply apologize to the victims and their families affected by the accident."
Sampyo Industry also added, "We are sincerely cooperating with the investigation by the relevant authorities regarding this accident and will take maximum measures to prevent recurrence," and "Once again, we express our deep condolences to the deceased and offer our heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved families."
