[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Gyumin] Heo Kyung-young, the presidential candidate of the National Revolutionary Party, expressed his intention to appeal against the court's decision to dismiss the injunction request banning the '4-party TV debate' broadcast.

A representative of Heo's campaign stated on the 29th, "It should have obviously been accepted, but (the dismissal decision) is a ruling without principle," explaining the reason for the appeal.

They plan to submit the appeal petition to the Seoul Western District Court around 5 p.m. that day.

Earlier, the Civil Division 21 of the Seoul Western District Court (Chief Judge Park Byung-tae) dismissed the injunction request to ban the '4-party TV debate' broadcast the previous day, stating that it could be seen as a reasonable discrimination based on the discretion of the media organization.

Heo's camp revealed that they are also considering countermeasures after submitting the appeal petition. A representative said, "Although no decision has been made yet, if the 4-party debate is forced, we are also considering Heo holding a solo public debate," adding, "By seeing which side has higher viewership ratings, we might understand (public sentiment)."

Meanwhile, Heo announced on the 29th that he plans to file complaints against Lee Jae-myung, the presidential candidate of the Democratic Party of Korea, and Yoon Seok-youl, the candidate of the People Power Party, for infringing the copyright of 'Heo Kyung-young's Revolutionary Pledge 33,' and stated, "A 3-party debate will inevitably take place in court."
