People Power Party Welcomes Hong Jun-pyo's Joining... Lee Jun-seok Says "I Will Learn a Lot"

[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Sumi] Key figures of the People Power Party have unanimously expressed their welcome for Representative Hong Jun-pyo's joining of the Central Election Countermeasures Headquarters.

Party leader Lee Jun-seok stated on his Facebook on the 29th, "I am grateful to Representative Hong Jun-pyo, who always offers valuable advice for the party and shares much with the juniors," adding, "I will continue to learn a lot from him."

Won Hee-ryong, head of the policy division of the election headquarters, also wrote on Facebook, "I welcome Representative Hong's participation as an advisor to the election committee and thank him for his decision."

He further said, "I especially look forward to his expertise that will decisively neutralize the negative campaigns from Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party candidate."

Lee Yang-su, chief spokesperson of the election headquarters, also released a statement expressing expectations that Representative Hong will play a significant role as one team for regime change.

Earlier, Representative Hong announced his acceptance of the position of standing advisor to the election headquarters for the greater cause of regime change. This decision came ten days after his meeting with presidential candidate Yoon Seok-youl.

On his Facebook, Representative Hong said, "I accept the standing advisor position of the Central Election Committee, which I promised to join during my previous meeting with candidate Yoon," adding, "I will actively respond to Yoon's requests for presidential election advice to prevent the continued misrule that has been plundering the Republic of Korea."

He also expressed gratitude, saying, "I thank Representative Lee Cheol-gyu from the candidate's side and Director Ahn Byung-yong from our side for engaging in practical consultations to clear up misunderstandings."
