[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Emart announced on the 28th that it will shorten store operating hours by one hour starting from the 2nd of next month, considering the spread of the Omicron variant of COVID-19.

Accordingly, from the 2nd to the 28th of next month, the operating hours of 117 Emart stores and 20 Traders stores nationwide will be reduced by one hour, from 11 PM to 10 PM.

Emart explained, "We decided to proactively shorten operating hours based on the principle that the safety of customers and employees is the top priority."
