Announcement of Price Increase Up to 900 Won for a Total of 37 Items
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] Hamburger franchise company Mom's Touch announced on the 28th that it will raise the selling prices of major products by up to 900 won starting from the 3rd of next month.
The price increases apply to a total of 37 items including burgers, chicken, and side menus. By item, burgers will increase by 300 won, bone-in chicken by 900 won, and side menus by 100 to 400 won.
With this price increase, the 'Ssai Burger' will jump from 3,800 won to 4,100 won for a single item. The 'Bulgogi Burger' will rise from 3,000 won to 3,300 won. For chicken, the price of one 'Fried Chicken' will increase from 15,000 won to 15,900 won.
A Mom's Touch official explained, "Due to the difficult environment caused by the global logistics crisis leading to a sharp rise in raw material prices, minimum wage increases, delivery platform cost increases, and rent hikes, we decided to raise prices to protect the profits of franchise owners."
Earlier, Lotteria raised product prices by an average of 4.1% on the 1st of last month, followed by Burger King raising some product prices by an average of 2.9% starting from the 7th of this month. On the 25th, Shake Shack also raised prices on some products by an average of 3%.
