Yeonggwang-gun Launches 'Integrity Campaign' for Public Officials

[Yeonggwang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jeonseong] Jeollanam-do Yeonggwang-gun recently announced on the 28th that it conducted an integrity campaign targeting all public officials commuting to work in front of the county office main building in celebration of the Lunar New Year holiday.

The campaign, held together with the Public Officials Labor Union, was organized with the purpose of correcting the easily disrupted public service discipline during the Lunar New Year period and encouraging public officials to strengthen their commitment to practicing integrity by eradicating unnecessary customs and the acceptance of money and entertainment.

The county distributed easy-to-understand guides on the Anti-Graft Act and whistleblowing on corruption during commuting hours for public officials.

Under slogans such as "Trusted Clean Yeonggwang" and "I Practice Integrity First," placard promotions were also conducted.

Additionally, by sharing "Choco Pie," which symbolizes affection, the campaign encouraged public officials to replace excessive gifts that violate the Anti-Graft Act with warm greetings, promoting participation in integrity practice.

A county official stated, "The individual practice of integrity by each public official will be the driving force in creating a clean and honest Yeonggwang-gun," and added, "This year, the county will work even harder to establish a clean public service culture free from corruption and realize a trusted and clean Yeonggwang-gun."
