President Moon exchanges congratulatory letters with three Central Asian countries on the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] On the 28th, President Moon Jae-in exchanged congratulatory letters commemorating the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations with President Tokayev of Kazakhstan, President Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan, and President Japarov of Kyrgyzstan, respectively.

In the letters, President Moon expressed satisfaction with the development of relations with these countries in various fields such as politics, economy, culture, and human exchanges since the establishment of diplomatic ties in 1992, and hoped for continuous development of the relationship.

He also conveyed his gratitude once again to the Kazakhstani president for the repatriation of General Hong Beom-do's remains last year, expressed to the Uzbekistani president his hope that the designation of this year as the "Year of Mutual Exchange" would deepen mutual understanding and friendship between the peoples of both countries, and told the Kyrgyzstani president that he expects practical cooperation between the two countries to expand in a wide range of fields.
