[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Guro-gu (Mayor Lee Seong) is providing a smart surveying benchmark point service.
On the 28th, Guro-gu announced, "We provide a smart surveying benchmark point service through the district office website and Smart Seoul Map so that residents can easily check the surveying benchmark points."
A 'surveying benchmark point' is a reference point marked with a number, coordinates, etc., after measuring a specific point on the land according to surveying standards. It is an important facility that serves as the basis for surveying tasks such as confirming land boundaries or constructing infrastructure closely related to residents' lives.
Previously, if residents needed information on surveying benchmark points, they had to visit the district office to obtain a cadastral benchmark point performance copy, which was inconvenient. Now, they can conveniently access benchmark point information using a PC or smartphone.
From the district's perspective, during on-site investigations of damaged or lost surveying benchmark points, data updates and management can be done using only a smartphone without separate documents such as drawings, photos, or performance tables.
The 'Guro-gu Surveying Benchmark Point' service can be accessed through the Smart Seoul Map or the Guro-gu district office website under 'Services by Category.'
A Guro-gu official said, "With the establishment of this smart system, we expect rapid and efficient surveying benchmark point investigation and management," adding, "We will do our best to manage the service to contribute to protecting residents' property rights with accurate surveying information." Yangcheon-gu (Mayor Kim Soo-young) announced that it will unify the design of volume-based waste bags so that they can be purchased and disposed of anywhere within the district without distinction by neighborhood.
Previously, waste had to be disposed of only in volume-based waste bags designated by the agency for each neighborhood. As a result, residents experienced inconvenience because even if they moved within Yangcheon-gu, they had to purchase new volume-based waste bags each time if the agency area of the neighborhood they moved to was different.
To resolve this inconvenience, Yangcheon-gu produced volume-based waste bags unified into one design per specification in January and improved the disposal system so that from February, they can be used throughout Yangcheon-gu without neighborhood distinction.
The newly produced volume-based waste bags will be sold after existing stock is exhausted depending on the sales location's situation. However, even if residents use the existing volume-based waste bags, waste disposed of in that area will be collected without neighborhood distinction, so residents can use up the existing bags and then purchase the new ones.
Kim Soo-young, Mayor of Yangcheon-gu, said, "Now residents can use the same volume-based waste bags anywhere in Yangcheon-gu, reducing inconvenience," adding, "We will do our best to become a livable city, Yangcheon-gu, through field administration that always takes a step closer from the residents' perspective."
