Gifts of Local Agricultural Products Worth 76 Million Won

Saewool Nuclear Power Headquarters, 'Again' Generously... Rice and Fruits Galore Following the Day Before's Walker Gifts for Seniors Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power's Saewool Nuclear Power Headquarters delivered local agricultural products to residents in the area on the 26th in celebration of the Lunar New Year holiday.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Saewool Nuclear Power Headquarters gifted local agricultural products to sister villages around the headquarters, welfare facility disabled persons, and low-income groups in celebration of the Lunar New Year on the 26th.


Saewool Nuclear Power Headquarters purchased local agricultural products to help revitalize the local economy and support neighbors in need, preparing 2,160 bags of rice worth approximately 76 million KRW and 395 boxes of Seosaeng pears.


In addition to delivering agricultural products this time, Saewool Nuclear Power Headquarters supported 80 walking aids for the elderly at the Seosaeng-myeon Administrative Welfare Center on the 26th, and at the end of last year, donated 64 million KRW in neighbor-helping funds to KBS Ulsan Broadcasting Station.


This year, various social contribution activities that can provide practical help to the region, such as traditional market shopping events and support for daily necessities at social welfare facilities, will be implemented.


Established in 2017, the headquarters independently developed the export nuclear power model APR1400 technology, exported nuclear power plants to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and became the world's first to receive design certification from the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC).


The APR1400 is operating at Shin-Kori Units 3 and 4, and Shin-Kori Unit 5 is scheduled for completion in March 2024, and Unit 6 in March 2025.


Head of Headquarters Lee Sang-min said, “We hope to be a source of strength for the region and residents struggling due to COVID-19,” and added, “Saewool Headquarters will actively strive to carry out various activities needed by the region in the new year.”
