Gyeongbuk Sangju City Selects 'Outstanding Public Officials' with Creativity and Expertise Sangju City Hall.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yeo Jong-gu] Sangju City in Gyeongbuk announced on the 26th that it will select six outstanding public officials (1 grand prize, 2 excellence awards, 3 encouragement awards) for proactive administration in the second half of 2021, encouraging proactive administration and serving citizens.

The period covers from July to December of last year, and the selection criteria include △ those who improve unreasonable regulations and actively handle tasks based on creativity and expertise △ and others who serve as role models for employees.

The city will accept recommendations for outstanding public officials from departments and citizens for 13 days until the 7th of next month, and citizen recommendations can be submitted through the ‘Proactive Administration Citizen Recommendation’ section on the Sangju City website.

However, recommendations based on simple acts of kindness by public officials or abstract achievements and efforts are excluded from the selection.

After the recommendation deadline, the content of the achievements will be verified and checked for exclusion criteria.

The first screening (City Administration Coordination Committee) will decide the candidates, and the second screening (Proactive Administration Committee) will deliberate and resolve the outstanding public officials and incentives.

Selected public officials will receive personnel incentives and certificates and prizes at regular assemblies.

Mayor Kang Young-seok of Sangju said, “Just as small streams gather to form the sea, we expect that cases of proactive administration will accumulate to become a great foundation for the development of Sangju.”
