[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyun-joo] Ahn Min-seok, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea who raised the 'allegation of missing entry and exit records' of Kim Gun-hee, spouse of Yoon Seok-yeol, the People Power Party's presidential candidate, raised his voice saying "It was a legitimate suspicion" and "Do not insult me." after it was revealed that the allegation was an administrative error by the Ministry of Justice.

On the 26th, Ahn posted on his Facebook, stating, "Because the most important records of a country were different from the facts, I naturally demanded a truth investigation."

Ahn blamed the Seoul Eastern District Court and the Ministry of Justice for the suspicion. He said, "According to the Ministry of Justice today, the Seoul Eastern District Court requested a fact inquiry from the Ministry of Justice regarding the entry and exit records of Kim and Prosecutor Yang Mo's trip to the Czech Republic, but for some reason, a Ministry of Justice employee searched for 'Myeongshin' instead of Kim Myeong-shin, so no search results came up. Prosecutor Yang Mo's records were also not found due to a different resident registration number," and criticized, "It is absurd that the judiciary and administrative authorities' administrative actions are this sloppy."

He continued, "What is wrong with insisting on clarifying the facts because there were no records in the entry and exit details of Kim and Prosecutor Yang, which the judiciary requested and the Ministry of Justice replied to?" and added, "I hope the People Power Party does not become obsessed with insulting legitimate suspicions but focuses on the fact that the court and the Ministry of Justice's entry and exit record inquiries were sloppy. With sloppy inquiries and sloppy replies, the Seoul Eastern District Court and the Ministry of Justice must clearly reveal the facts, circumstances, and responsibility regarding what the truth is."

Earlier, Park Beom-gye, Minister of Justice, attended the National Assembly Legislation and Judiciary Committee plenary meeting and said regarding the allegation of deletion of entry and exit records of Kim and former Prosecutor Yang Mo, "There was a fact inquiry request from the Seoul Eastern District Court to the Ministry of Justice about the entry and exit details related to this Czech trip. The names were requested as Kim Gun-hee and the old name Myeongshin," and added, "I am not convinced, but our staff searched under Kim Gun-hee and only under the name 'Myeongshin,' not Kim Myeong-shin, so no search results came up."

Meanwhile, on the same day, the People Power Party rebutted the allegations raised by Ahn by disclosing Kim's past entry and exit records. Lee Yang-su, senior spokesperson of the People Power Party's election campaign headquarters, released a statement saying, "Not only the departure record from July 8 to July 18, 2004, when Kim Gun-hee traveled to the Czech Republic, but also all the 'entry and exit records before 2009,' which were said to have disappeared, remain intact."

Lee, the senior spokesperson, said, "Aren't you ashamed of making false revelations without even confirming such basic facts?" and demanded, "Those who spread false suspicions should apologize and take down all related articles and videos."
