[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Lim Kyung-jun, Chairman of the Gwangju-Jeonnam Regional Association of the Korea Federation of SMEs, held a 'Seolnal Rice Cake Soup Set Delivery Ceremony' for 27 socially disadvantaged groups in the region ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday.
At the ceremony, Choi Kyung-chae, Chairman of the Gwangju-Jeonnam Printing Information Industry Cooperative, Kim Hyung-jun, Chairman of the Gwangju-Jeonnam Furniture Industry Cooperative, and others attended and delivered rice cake soup sets (a total of 2,300 servings) to Kim Jung-tae, representative of the Health Love Volunteer Group, who attended on behalf of 19 local welfare facilities in need of assistance.
The rice cake soup sets were prepared with donations collected little by little from cooperatives and the SME sector since the end of last year, and consisted of rice cake soup rice cakes, dumplings, and soup beef.
Lim, Chairman of the Gwangju-Jeonnam Association of the Korea Federation of SMEs, said, "Despite the difficult times due to COVID-19, we were able to confirm the warm heart of small business owners as donations to the Love Sharing Foundation have increased," adding, "We will continue to strive for ongoing love-sharing activities for the socially disadvantaged and support for local small businesses."
Kim, representative of the Health Love Volunteer Group, said, "We express our gratitude to the cooperatives and SME sector that never forget to help every year even in difficult times, and we will carefully ensure that no one is left out of support."
