The Intect Supplies 'Doctor Rain' Space Disinfection to Qatar... Expected to Lead K-Quarantine

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jin-Hyung Park] The company The Intact Co., Ltd. (CEO Eun-Jeong Jo), located at the Korea Photonics Technology Institute in Gwangju Metropolitan City, participated in the ‘2022 UAE Dubai Medical Device Exhibition (ARAB HEALTH 2022)’.

The exhibition was held from the 24th to the 27th at the Dubai World Trade Center.

The Intact participated together with the Korea Photonics Industry Promotion Association (Chairman Cheol-Dong Jung) and the Optical Medical Industry Cooperative (Chairman Jung-Il Park) with their support.

Arab Health 2022 is one of the world's top three international medical device exhibitions, featuring over 3,500 exhibitors from 60 countries and operating more than 20 national pavilions. It is thriving with over 56,000 professionals visiting.

QLICKHEALTH, a medical company located in Doha, Qatar, operates a platform that remotely monitors patients' conditions and provides direct medical treatment through approximately 20,000 healthcare workers and about 5,000 hospitals for patients.

QLICKHEALTH plans to supply ‘Doctor Rain’ to mosques, schools, hospitals, and other institutions through its platform.

Additionally, ‘Doctor Rain’ will be supplied for virus care and spatial disinfection solutions at the ‘2022 Qatar World Cup’ held in Al Wakrah, Qatar.

The Intact will collaborate with QLICKHEALTH to install Doctor Rain in all spaces requiring disinfection during the Qatar World Cup period to minimize COVID-19 infections and prevent virus spread. This is expected to position them as a leader in K-quarantine worldwide.

Doctor Rain, recently gaining attention domestically as a spatial disinfection system, has proven to remove 99.9% of various harmful bacteria including COVID-19, respiratory viruses, hand-foot-and-mouth disease, E. coli, and Salmonella.

It was previously registered as a sterilizer with the U.S. FDA, recognized for its performance, and passed safety tests including inhalation toxicity, oral toxicity, eye irritation, and skin irritation. It also received certification for non-detection of carcinogens and humidifier disinfectant components.

In particular, sterilization activation methods for bacteria and viruses have been patented separately in Korea and the United States. It is listed as a product for air disinfection and indoor space use in the Ministry of Environment’s Green Nuri, proving its safety and sterilization power.

For formaldehyde, identified as a cause of sick house syndrome, it demonstrated a 93.8% removal effect, and for ammonia, a 99.8% deodorization effect, currently being used at the Nanji Island and Gimpo landfill sites.

With this MOU signing, The Intact plans to export about 10 million USD (approximately 12 billion KRW) annually and has received active inquiries from Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Bangladesh, Romania, and other countries during the exhibition period.
