Zigbang Acquires Samsung SDS Home IoT Business

[Asia Economy Reporter Minyoung Kim] Zigbang announced on the 27th that it has signed a business transfer agreement with Samsung SDS for the acquisition of the home IoT business.

Zigbang has expanded its business areas beyond real estate transactions to home theater, share houses, and residential management. Recently, it introduced the metaverse office solution Metapolis, leading innovation in both online and offline spaces.

Samsung SDS's home IoT business, which includes wall pads and digital door locks, is the number one smart home market in Korea and a global business exporting to 16 countries overseas.

Zigbang will also actively explore ways to enter the overseas smart home market.

Furthermore, it has decided to continue cooperating with existing B2B, B2C customers and business partners of Samsung SDS home IoT.

Seongwoo Ahn, CEO of Zigbang, said, "By combining Zigbang's residential content with Samsung home IoT hardware, we will bring innovation to the smart home market," adding, "Zigbang will grow into a global comprehensive proptech company beyond domestic real estate transactions."
