Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) is starting the supply of integrated public rental housing. The total number of units is 1,181, including 605 units at Gwacheon Knowledge Information Town S-10BL and 576 units at Namyangju Byeollae A1-1BL.

According to LH on the 27th, the announcement for tenant recruitment for the 605 units at Gwacheon Knowledge Information Town S-10BL was made on the same day. On the 28th, the announcement for the 576 units at Namyangju Byeollae A1-1BL will be released.

Gwacheon Knowledge Information Town S-10BL is located near Indeogwon Station on Subway Line 4, and it is easy to access the metropolitan area via the 2nd Gyeongin Expressway and Local Road 309. Additionally, a new station called Gwacheon Knowledge Information Town Station (tentative name) is planned to be established within the district. The complex will also include living facilities operated by Gwacheon City, such as a Life Culture Center, Senior Welfare Center, and Together Care Center.

Namyangju Byeollae A1-1BL is situated in a station area with the planned new Byeollae Byeolgaram Station on Subway Line 4 nearby. It is a mature district with many households already moved in and well-established living infrastructure. Deoksong Elementary School is within walking distance for commuting.

Integrated public rental housing combines various types of public rental housing such as permanent, national, and happiness housing into one. The eligibility criteria have been simplified: applicants must be adults without home ownership as of the recruitment announcement date, with a household income at or below 150% of the median income, total asset value of 292 million KRW or less, and vehicle value of 34.96 million KRW or less.

Units ranging from 18 to 56 square meters are supplied according to household size, and the maximum residence period has been extended to 30 years, allowing for stable housing. Rent is set differently based on the applicant household’s income level. Sixty percent of the supply is prioritized for multi-child families, newlyweds, and single-parent families, while 40% (including housing for the vulnerable) is supplied to the general public. Applications will be accepted from February 15 to 18, with winners announced on June 30, and contracts signed from July 12 to 14. Move-in is scheduled for October 2023 (Namyangju) and January 2024 (Gwacheon).
