SK Ecoplant Receives Global Certification as an Eco-Friendly ESG Company

Received the 'Special Award for Carbon Management' from CDP, a Global ESG Rating Agency

[Asia Economy Reporter Minyoung Kim] SK Ecoplant announced on the 27th that it received the Carbon Management Special Award at the ‘2021 Climate Change Response and Water Management Excellence Companies’ ceremony hosted by the CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project) Korea Committee on the 26th.

SK Ecoplant participated in the unlisted voluntary category in the climate change category and was the only unlisted company to achieve an A- grade, a leadership level (A, A-), receiving the Carbon Management Special Award. SK Ecoplant had also received the same award in 2014 and 2018.

CDP is both the name of a global project that analyzes management information related to environmental issues such as climate change, water, and forest resources and publishes annual reports, and a non-profit environmental organization based in the United Kingdom.

After changing its corporate name, SK Ecoplant has accelerated its transition to an environmental and renewable energy company, leading the realization of carbon neutrality (Net Zero) through businesses such as fuel cells, hydrogen, and offshore wind power. Last year, it established an ESG Committee under the board of directors to respond to climate change.
