[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Kim Eun-kyung, former spokesperson of Incheon City (photo), was appointed as deputy spokesperson of the Public Relations Division of the Democratic Party's 20th Presidential Election Countermeasures Committee on the 26th.
Deputy Spokesperson Kim recently served as the head of the Central Cooperation Headquarters of Incheon City and was selected as Incheon City's first female spokesperson in July 2018, shortly after Mayor Park Nam-chun took office.
She graduated from Bupyeong Girls' High School in Incheon and completed her doctoral program in political science at Inha University. She has served as an invited professor in the Department of Political Science and Diplomacy at Inha University, director of the Michuhol-gu Lifelong Learning Center, and vice-chair of the Democratic Party's Policy Committee.
Deputy Spokesperson Kim said, "Based on the experience gained while working as spokesperson and head of the Central Cooperation Headquarters of Incheon City, I will faithfully fulfill the role of deputy spokesperson. I will listen more closely to the voices of the 2030 generation and the moderate voters to help promote candidate Lee Jae-myung's strengths and policies."
