County Governor Gu In-mo Inspects Price Stability at Traditional Markets

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Ahead of the Seollal holiday, Gu In-mo, the mayor of Geochang County, conducted a COVID-19 prevention and price stabilization campaign on the 26th at Geochang traditional market and other locations.

On this day, Mayor Gu and about 30 members of the Market Prosperity Association participated, focusing on promoting price stabilization, origin labeling and price compliance, and prevention of safety accidents.

Geochang County has set the special price stabilization period until February 2nd and formed an inspection team to intensively guide and crack down on price trends of key holiday items (16 items), compliance with origin labeling, and unfair trade practices such as hoarding.

Mayor Gu In-mo said, “We will encourage small business owners and residents who are struggling due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and strive to revitalize the local economy so that everyone can have a warm Seollal holiday.”

Meanwhile, Geochang traditional market is conducting a Onnuri gift certificate payback event for customers using the traditional market until the 30th in celebration of the Seollal holiday.
