[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam Province, is implementing a 'Comprehensive Lunar New Year Holiday Plan,' including the operation of a comprehensive situation room ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday.
The county announced the comprehensive plan on the 26th to ensure a comfortable and safe Lunar New Year holiday for its residents.
From January 29 to February 2, for five days, nine departments and divisions, nine situation teams, and town and township civil complaint situation teams will be operated. Through this, the county aims to minimize inconvenience to residents.
The plan is divided into 14 detailed focus areas, including ▲COVID-19 and various disaster, incident, and accident prevention measures ▲traffic flow and safety measures ▲stabilization of the livelihood economy and ordinary citizens' lives ▲resolution of residents' inconveniences ▲establishment of strict public service discipline.
In particular, to prevent the spread of COVID-19, a comprehensive situation room composed of five teams and 13 members will be operated to respond promptly in case of overseas arrivals and domestic confirmed cases.
During the holiday period, to eliminate medical service gaps, emergency quarantine and on-site emergency medical support will be organized and operated. Emergency medical institutions and holiday duty pharmacies will also be operated.
Additionally, during the Lunar New Year holiday, the county will monitor the livelihood economy, which has been affected by COVID-19, and conduct joint hygiene inspections of 16 key management items in food manufacturing and sales businesses.
A county official said, “For the safety of families during this Lunar New Year holiday, we ask residents to refrain from visiting their hometowns or traveling. If unavoidable, please visit your hometown in small groups after receiving the third vaccine dose.”
