[Namwon=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Jeong Young-gwon] The integrated marketing sales of agricultural products by the Jeonbuk Namwon City Cooperative Joint Business Corporation (CEO Baek Nam-jeong, hereinafter referred to as the Cooperative Corporation) has reached 100 billion KRW for the first time in Jeonbuk.
The city announced on the 26th that the integrated marketing sales of agricultural products by the Namwon City Cooperative Joint Business Corporation increased by 113% compared to the previous year (88.2 billion KRW in 2020), surpassing 100 billion KRW as of the end of December 2021.
This sales achievement is the result of active cooperation between Namwon City and the Namwon Cooperative Corporation, launched in 2013, over the past nine years in jointly promoting integrated marketing of Namwon agricultural products and fostering the joint agricultural product brand ‘ChunhyangAEin’ to improve farmers' income.
To commemorate this achievement and contribution, the city awarded a plaque to the Namwon City Cooperative Joint Business Corporation, which erected the 100 billion KRW achievement tower, at City Hall on the same day, attended by the integrated marketing specialized organization ‘Namwon City Cooperative Business Corporation’ and the heads of five local agricultural cooperatives participating in integrated marketing.
Previously, when about 50 agricultural product brands were competing and not receiving proper value relative to quality, the city unified them under a joint brand in 2013, creating ‘ChunhyangAEin’.
At that time, to facilitate smooth promotion, the integrated marketing specialized organization Namwon City Cooperative Joint Business Corporation was launched.
Since its establishment in April 2013 by joint investment from five local agricultural cooperatives (four regional cooperatives and one horticultural cooperative), the Namwon City Cooperative Joint Business Corporation has been conducting thorough quality control of agricultural products produced in Namwon and systematic marketing through an integrated marketing organization.
As a result, the Namwon City Cooperative Joint Business Corporation was selected as the best organization for four consecutive years in the 2021 comprehensive evaluation of production area distribution hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs.
It also achieved high performance by being selected as excellent for two consecutive years in the integrated marketing organization operation performance evaluation hosted by Jeollabuk-do.
A city official said, “The achievement of 100 billion KRW in sales is the fruit of the efforts of farmers who actively participated in integrated marketing, the Cooperative Corporation, and the excellence of Namwon’s joint agricultural product brand ‘ChunhyangAEin.’”
He added, “We will continue to actively support the revitalization of integrated marketing so that farmers can focus solely on agricultural production.”
