For Apartment Complexes Over 20 Years Old and Under 85㎡ Exclusive Area
Facility Renovation and Repair, Improvement of Working Conditions for Non-Regular Employees
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Buk-gu, Gwangju City announced on the 26th that it will promote the ‘2022 Aged Apartment Management Support Project’ to create a better residential environment.
The project targets apartments with a private area of 85㎡ or less that participated in the preliminary demand survey and have passed the usage inspection more than 20 years ago (excluding rental and employee apartments).
Support is divided into two areas: improvement of aged small and medium-sized apartment facilities and improvement of working conditions for non-regular workers.
In the facility improvement area, waterproofing of roofs, repair of cracks on building exterior walls, parking lot and complex road paving, replacement of sewage and wastewater pipelines and security lights are possible, with 80% of the project cost per complex supported up to a maximum of 32 million KRW.
For the improvement of working conditions for non-regular workers such as security guards and cleaners, construction to relocate underground rest areas to above ground (support for illegal basement extensions is not allowed), expansion and repair of rest areas, installation of heating/cooling and ventilation facilities are included, with 80% support per complex up to a maximum of 16 million KRW.
The selection of target complexes will be finalized in February through the Apartment Support Deliberation Committee, considering the aging status of facilities and the size of the complex.
Commissioner Moon In said, “Through this project, we hope residents’ housing satisfaction will increase and non-regular employees will work in better conditions,” and added, “We will continue to promote various support projects to improve housing welfare and create a better residential environment.”
