Safety Inspections for Fall and Fire Prevention at Construction Sites Using VR

Dongmun Construction Holds 'Zero Accident Resolution Rally' Ahead of Serious Accident Punishment Act

Safety Inspections for Fall and Fire Prevention at Construction Sites Using VR Dongmun Construction held a Zero Accident Resolution Meeting on the 25th at the new construction site located in Munsan-eup, Paju-si, Gyeonggi-do, with the participation of executives, employees, and partners ahead of the enforcement of the Serious Accident Punishment Act.

Dongmoon Construction announced on the 26th that it held the '2022 Zero Accident Resolution Meeting' on the 25th at the 'Dongmoon The East' apartment construction site located in Munsan-eup, Paju-si, Gyeonggi-do, with the attendance of Dongmoon Construction executives and employees as well as partner company representatives.

The resolution meeting was held ahead of the enforcement of the Serious Accident Punishment Act on the 27th. It emphasized compliance with safety and health-related laws and regulations, as well as on-site safety management using virtual reality (VR) training and experiential education facilities.

Dongmoon Construction has pilot-installed VR equipment at the 'Paju Munsan Station 2nd Dongmoon The East' construction site to conduct regular experiential training for all personnel on site (managers and workers), and plans to gradually expand its application to each construction site. Through this, the company aims to prevent possible accidents such as falls, drops, electric shocks, fires, and collisions?common forms of serious accidents?by ensuring workers follow proper work procedures.

Additionally, a separate experiential training facility using a Training Box to prevent fall accidents will be installed at the construction site. This structure allows workers to learn the correct way to wear safety belts, which is fundamental to fall prevention, and to experience rescue operations in the event of an actual fall.

A Dongmoon Construction official stated, "We judged that safety education conducted only through lectures while sitting at desks had limitations in preventing accidents, so as a complementary measure, we introduced experiential programs such as VR and training facilities."
