[Asia Economy Reporter Ji Yeon-jin] Samjeong KPMG’s social welfare support corporation, Samjeong Sarang Nanumhoe, announced on the 26th that it will regularly provide side dishes to neighbors in need in cooperation with Happy Alliance, Seoul Single-Parent Family Support Center, and Itmaple.
The “Seoul Disabled Single-Parent Family Happy Lunchbox Project” is a program that selects single-parent families in Seoul where either the parent or child has a disability, to prevent meal skipping and resolve nutritional imbalance among vulnerable groups. It provides four types of side dishes for five days a week, once a week, for 13 months on a regular sponsorship basis.
Im Geun-gu, director of Samjeong Sarang Nanumhoe, said, “Through this Happy Lunchbox support project, we hope that neighbors in the welfare blind spots can continue to have healthy and warm meals,” and added, “We will continue to strive to spread and bear fruit of sharing practices in the local community.”
Since 2005, Samjeong KPMG has established an in-house social welfare committee and has carried out various social contribution activities in social welfare, education, environment, and culture.
