Gyeongbuk Cheongsong-gun Emphasizes 'Investment in People' at Policy Development Capacity Building Workshop

Workshop for Strengthening Policy Development Capabilities in Cheongsong-gun.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Gwiyeol] Cheongsong-gun, Gyeongbuk, held a policy development capacity-building workshop for employees on the 24th at the Cheongsong Culture and Arts Center Grand Performance Hall.

This workshop was organized to improve work capabilities to understand the policy directions of central government ministries and to respond to the increasingly widespread competitive project selection methods.

Following explanations of excellent cases from other local governments, measures to strengthen the ability to discover local resources and apply them to projects in response to competitive projects were discussed.

Yoon Kyung-hee, the mayor of Cheongsong-gun, emphasized, "The reason why South Korea, which lacks resources, has become a proud nation in the world is because of significant investment in people."

Mayor Yoon said, "Investment in people is the most fundamental and necessary thing," and added, "I hope you can gain a broader perspective by utilizing opportunities such as workshops."
