[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Gwiyeol] Uljin-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, has launched a special inspection to prevent the spread of infections due to the large-scale movement of people during the Lunar New Year holiday, family gatherings, and increased travel.
Uljin-gun is strengthening quarantine measures, including special inspections, targeting hygiene establishments where the quarantine pass is mandatory, such as restaurants, cafes, entertainment bars, and bathhouses, until the 28th.
The main inspection items include compliance with quarantine rules such as mask-wearing, visitor log management, restrictions on the number of private gatherings, and operating hours limits at facilities where the quarantine pass is mandatory. Minor violations will be corrected immediately, and establishments violating core quarantine rules will face strict measures such as fines and criminal charges.
Lee Seong-ho, Director of the Environmental Hygiene Division, said, “Although small business owners are facing difficulties due to prolonged quarantine measures, we expect an increase in returning visitors and family gatherings during the Lunar New Year holiday, so we ask everyone to strictly follow the quarantine rules.”
