A Man in His 50s Arrested for Killing His Wife with a Bladed Weapon

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] A man in his 50s of Chinese nationality has been arrested by the police on suspicion of stabbing his wife to death with a weapon in a vehicle parked on the street in Suncheon, Jeollanam-do.

According to the Suncheon Police Station in Jeollanam-do on the 25th, at around 5:57 p.m. the previous day, Mr. A (53) was apprehended on suspicion of murder in a vehicle parked in a street parking lot in Haeryong-myeon, Suncheon City, where he had attempted an extreme act.

At the time, Mr. A's wife, Mrs. B (52), was found dead inside the vehicle with stab wounds, and Mr. A was transported to the hospital after losing consciousness from inhaling toxic gas inside the vehicle.

A note found in the vehicle written by Mr. A reportedly contained content implying an intention to end his life.

The police who arrived at the scene discovered signs of Mrs. B being stabbed while searching inside the vehicle, but the weapon was not found inside the vehicle.

The couple are Chinese nationals and were reportedly experiencing domestic conflicts.

The police plan to request an autopsy from the National Forensic Service on Mrs. B to investigate the exact circumstances of the incident.
