Lee Jun-seok "Preparing to Find a Small Room"
[Asia Economy Reporter Na Ye-eun] Kim Young-jin, head of the General Affairs Headquarters of the Democratic Party of Korea's election committee, compared Lee Jun-seok, leader of the People Power Party, to the "boy who cried wolf," saying he promised to stay and campaign at the party headquarters but did not keep his word. Lee explained, "You must feel wronged. I am looking for a small room and preparing it."
On the 21st, Kim sarcastically addressed Lee, saying, "On January 7th, after your second runaway, you returned and said you would stay and campaign at the People Power Party headquarters, succeeding senior Kim Moo-sung, but 14 days have passed," and asked, "Are you comfortably staying on the field bed at the party headquarters?"
He continued, "If you don't want to be called the 'boy who cried wolf' tomorrow morning, sleep comfortably at the party headquarters," adding, "Tonight is the fourth night, and as I said, I am on the 5th floor of the Democratic Party headquarters."
On the 23rd, he also left a one-line message saying "Lee Jun-seok = boy who cried wolf," continuing his offensive.
In response, on the 25th, Lee posted on his Facebook, "You must feel wronged," and explained, "Originally, I was going to use the space that former general election committee chairman Kim Jong-in used, but since the young aides' activities increased, I thought it would be inefficient for me to occupy such a large space."
He added, "First, I instructed that the 5th and 6th-floor election office spaces be used by the young aides," and explained, "I am looking for a small room of about three pyeong on the 3rd floor and preparing (to stay and campaign at the party headquarters)."
Meanwhile, after a conflict with Yoon Seok-youl, the People Power Party's presidential candidate, Lee dramatically reconciled and promised to "stay and campaign at the party headquarters." At that time, Lee said, "Please put a bed for me in a corner of the room where Kim Jong-in was," and added, "As a party member, I don't need the authority or position of the party leader; I will lead by example, campaign actively, and stay at the party headquarters."
