Hapcheon-gun Launches 'Overcoming COVID-19 and Dementia' Campaign for Lunar New Year Holiday A campaign for a safe and healthy Lunar New Year holiday will be held in Hapcheon-gun ahead of the holiday.


[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam Province, will conduct the 'Overcome COVID-19! Overcome Dementia!' campaign at traditional markets from the 25th to the 28th to ensure a safe and healthy Lunar New Year from COVID-19.


Hapcheon-gun announced on the 25th that the campaign was prepared to encourage social distancing, COVID-19 vaccination before the holiday, and early dementia screening.


The campaign will start at Gaya Market on the 25th, followed by Samga Market on the 27th, and Hapcheon Wanghu Market on the 28th.


With Omicron cases continuously occurring nationwide ahead of the Lunar New Year, the county is focusing on alleviating residents' anxiety and preventing spread by promoting social distancing and encouraging COVID-19 vaccination.


The Hapcheon-gun Dementia Safety Center is offering free early dementia screening for residents aged 60 and over to prevent and detect dementia early amid the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.


A health center official said, “To prevent the spread of COVID-19, we ask everyone to strictly follow quarantine guidelines such as getting vaccinated for COVID-19 before the holiday starting from age 12 and wearing masks indoors.”
