Shoong Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "Shoong") has successfully established its 'Shoong Mart' in the Taiwan market.
Shoong Mart is a discount store specializing in Korean products, directly operated by Shoong, a specialized trading company designated by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy. For over seven years, Shoong has provided an integrated service managing all processes from product shipment to the final consumer for domestic brands wishing to export to Taiwan. In addition, Shoong operates 'SHOONG,' Taiwan's only B2B online platform specializing in Korean products, with over 50,000 distributor (business) members.
Meanwhile, Don Don Donki, introduced alongside, is an overseas brand of Fan Pacific International Holdings (PPIH), which operates the comprehensive discount store 'Don Quijote' in Japan. With more than 350 stores in Japan, 40 stores in the United States, 5 in Hong Kong, and 4 in Singapore, its influence is gradually expanding overseas. The newly introduced store is the second branch in Taiwan, primarily featuring Japanese products.
A Shoong representative stated that they recognized the strong demand for Korean products, which have become a cultural powerhouse, was not sufficiently met by online shopping alone. After thoroughly verifying through exhibitions such as the '2021 Shoong Korean Products Exhibition,' they opened offline stores and have achieved excellent results.
Shoong Mart signed a business agreement with ATT, a famous shopping mall group in Taiwan, and opened a store in ATT e LIFE located in Zhongshan, Taipei. Fueled by strong demand, they also opened a pop-up store (located in ATT 4 FUN) in Xinyi, known as the Gangnam of Taiwan.
