7 of the Top 10 Apartment Price Increases in One Year Are in Southern Gyeonggi

Among the top 10 places nationwide where apartment prices have risen the most in the past year, 7 are cities in the southern region of Gyeonggi-do.

On the 25th, Real Today, a real estate research firm, analyzed KB Real Estate statistics and found that this month's national apartment sales price index was 131.8p, up 20.8p from 111p in January of the previous year. The nationwide apartment sales price increase rate over the past year was recorded at approximately 18.75%.

Among the nationwide city and province-level areas included in the statistics, the area with the highest sales price increase rate was ▲Osan-si, Gyeonggi-do (up 47.87% compared to the previous year). Following were ▲Siheung, Gyeonggi (40.16%), ▲Dongducheon, Gyeonggi (38.78%), ▲Anseong, Gyeonggi (38.64%), ▲Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi (36.93%), ▲Uiwang, Gyeonggi (34.67%), ▲Ansan, Gyeonggi (33.23%), ▲Uijeongbu, Gyeonggi (32.83%), ▲Gunpo, Gyeonggi (32.76%), and ▲Incheon (32.2%).

Among the top 10 places with the highest increase rates, 9 were located in Gyeonggi-do, and among these, 7 cities in the southern region (Osan, Siheung, Anseong, Pyeongtaek, Uiwang, Ansan, Gunpo) showed strong performance. An industry insider said, "Due to the rapid surge in Seoul housing prices, a balloon effect appeared, causing the outskirts of Gyeonggi-do to generally show an upward trend," adding, "In particular, the southern region, which has benefited from transportation developments such as GTX, seems to have risen significantly."

Meanwhile, a large number of new housing units are scheduled to be launched in the southern region of Gyeonggi-do early this year. DL Construction will launch ‘e-Pyeonhansesang Anseong Gran Luce’ in Block 5 of Dangwang District, Dangwang-dong, Anseong-si, Gyeonggi-do in February. Hanyang plans to launch ‘Osan Segyo Hanyang Sujain’ in Seodong, adjacent to Segyo 2 District in Osan-si. Daewoo Construction will launch ‘Jije Station Prugio Eliatz’ in Block 1 of Dongsak Segyo District Urban Development Zone, Dongsak-dong, Pyeongtaek-si in February.
