Kim Geon-hee says in the transcript, "I don't cook at all, Yoon does it"

"‘My Husband Does All the Cooking,’ Kim Geon-hee's Remark Draws Jin Joong-kwon's Response: 'Is It Praise or Criticism?'" Last December, Yoon Seok-yeol, the People Power Party's presidential candidate, revealed himself making pasta on a YouTube broadcast. Photo by YouTube 'Seokyeol Hyung's Restaurant' capture

[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Juhee] Jin Joong-kwon, former professor at Dongyang University, questioned whether the remark "My husband does all the cooking," made by Kim Gun-hee, spouse of Yoon Seok-yeol, the People Power Party's presidential candidate, during a '7-hour phone call' recording with a reporter, was a criticism or praise.

On the 24th, Jin shared an article related to Kim's statement on his Facebook and said, "I also did the cooking myself, but isn't it better than doing the dishes?"

The 7-hour phone call transcript, jointly released on the 23rd by Seoul Voice and Open Sympathy TV, included a conversation where Kim told a reporter from Seoul Voice, "I don't cook at all; my husband does everything," referring to candidate Yoon. Kim also mentioned hearing from a monk that "Kim Gun-hee is completely masculine, and Seok-yeol is feminine."

Meanwhile, candidate Yoon has shown a domestic side by showcasing his cooking skills through broadcasts. On his official YouTube channel 'Seokyeol's House Meals,' he personally cooked dishes such as pasta and kimchi fried rice. In September last year, on SBS variety show 'Master in the House,' he invited the cast to his home and served rolled omelet, kimchi stew, and bulgogi.

In his YouTube broadcasts, Yoon expressed confidence in his cooking, saying, "My cooking is simple, made easily with few ingredients. I try to make it almost the same as what you eat at home."

Regarding his cooking skills, he added, "Since I was young, I made small dishes at home. On Sundays, I would cook simple meals and eat with my parents. My father once said, 'If you quit public office later, you should open a restaurant.'"
