Lotte World Tower Donates 'Fortune-Sharing Rice' for Lunar New Year to 1,004 Households in Songpa-gu

On the 24th, Lotte World Tower held a 'Blessing Rice Sharing' ceremony at Songpa District Office, attended by Ryu Je-don, CEO of Lotte Engineering & Construction (left), and Park Seong-su, Mayor of Songpa District.

[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] Lotte Engineering & Construction, which operates Lotte World Tower, delivered 'Blessing Rice' to Songpa-gu Office in Seoul on the 24th ahead of the Lunar New Year. The delivery ceremony held in the Songpa-gu Office chief's office was attended by Ryu Je-don, CEO of Lotte Engineering & Construction, and Park Sung-soo, Mayor of Songpa-gu.

The rice will be distributed on the 25th and 26th to 1,004 households in need of care, including child-headed households and elderly living alone within Songpa-gu. Since 2014, Lotte Engineering & Construction has delivered rice to neighbors in need within Songpa-gu during Lunar New Year and Chuseok annually, supporting a cumulative total of 18,299 households to date.

Ryu Je-don, CEO of Lotte Engineering & Construction, said, "We hope that the small gesture we have prepared will bring warm comfort and encouragement to the neighbors in Songpa-gu who are going through difficult times due to COVID-19 and the cold wave."
