[Asia Economy Reporter Na Ye-eun] Problems such as the screen of the iPhone 13, released by Apple, turning pink and the device freezing are occurring. Similar issues have been reported not only overseas but also among some users in Korea, but Apple has not yet disclosed the exact cause.

On the 23rd (local time), according to foreign media such as 9to5Mac, posts appeared on global Apple user community forums stating, "I tried to take a photo, but the screen froze and suddenly turned pink," and "I contacted Apple, but they responded that there was no problem."

Another user said, "I am using the iPhone 13 Pro, but it keeps freezing, so I have to turn it off and on, and the screen turned pink."

This phenomenon is mainly known to occur on devices released last year, such as the iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max.

Reviews sharing the so-called "Cherry Blossom phenomenon" occurring on the iPhone 13 were also shared in online communities such as 'Asamo,' a cafe for domestic iPhone users.

Previously, a phenomenon where the lower right corner of the display turned pink also occurred on the iPhone 12, leading some users to jokingly call it the "Cherry Blossom Edition."

According to Chinese IT media My Drivers, the official Apple service center in China explained that this bug is a software issue. The media reported, "In China, the stance is that there is no hardware problem with the device and that the issue occurred because the system froze. They suggested backing up smartphone data and upgrading to the latest iOS."

Meanwhile, Apple Korea has not yet issued an official statement.
