[Jangseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Jo Hangyu] Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 24th that it will implement a "Comprehensive Water Supply and Sewerage Measures" in preparation for the Lunar New Year holiday.
The county first conducted a preliminary inspection and thorough maintenance of water supply and sewerage facilities, recently checking intake and water purification facilities, drainage and pressure facilities structures, water purification treatment status, and the normal operation of sewage and wastewater treatment plants.
In addition, the 44 village water supply facilities in the region were meticulously maintained together with maintenance companies, inspecting for water tank leaks, water purification equipment, and motor pump operation.
Safety and mechanical operation checks of 48 wastewater relay pump stations and 48 village sewage treatment facilities are planned to be completed before the start of the holiday.
During the five-day holiday period from the 29th of this month to the 2nd of next month, an emergency duty control room will be operated to promptly respond to complaints related to water supply leaks, water outages, and sewer blockages causing inconvenience in daily life.
A county official said, "We will do our best to prepare so that there is no inconvenience in using water supply and sewerage during the holiday," and added, "We ask all residents to actively participate in water conservation and prevention of pipe freezing and wastewater drain blockages."
Any inconveniences related to water supply and sewerage occurring during the holiday period can be reported to the emergency duty control room of the Jangseong-gun Clean Water Management Office.
