[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Paradise Hotel Busan announced on the 24th that it has obtained the 'GBAC STAR' international certification for environmental disinfection, organized by the International Sanitary Supply Association (ISSA).

The 'GBAC STAR' is a performance-based international certification system awarded to facilities equipped with hygiene regulations and quarantine systems. The Global Biorisk Advisory Council, composed of world-renowned experts in biological risk management, evaluates and supports 20 key hygiene-related elements including cleanliness, disinfection, and infectious disease prevention programs. Facilities that complete the certification can display the 'GBAC STAR' certificate to prove a safe and comfortable environment.

Paradise Hotel Busan stated that it prepared for this certification so that customers can use various facilities such as guest rooms, the outdoor hot spring Sea Mer, Oceanspa Pool, and Kids Village with greater peace of mind. They explained that under the leadership of the HSE (Health Safety Environment) organization, which is responsible for quarantine and hygiene management, a systematic and thorough preparation process was carried out from ISSA consulting to on-site application. The hotel said that by integrating management manuals for various facilities such as the hotel, casino, and convention center into one, they established a standardized hygiene management manual focused on the field.

Paradise Hotel Busan said, "With the acquisition of the 'GBAC STAR' certification, we have established a global-level hygiene management system and have been officially recognized as a first-class hotel capable of efficient operational management." They added, "Since the spread of COVID-19, Paradise Hotel Busan has created a safe environment by complying with quarantine rules and conducting the 'Chihyu (治休) campaign.' We plan to continuously follow the certification guidelines through employee training and internal hygiene inspections."
