[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, is conducting special day and night inspections on all streetlights and security lights installed in the district ahead of the upcoming Seollal holiday.
According to Seo-gu on the 24th, this inspection is being carried out until the 28th to provide safe, bright, and pleasant streets for returning visitors and to resolve inconveniences for residents walking at night.
Seo-gu has organized two inspection teams to check a total of 18,273 streetlights and security lights, focusing on ▲ the on/off status of streetlights ▲ proper operation of leakage circuit breakers ▲ maintenance of faulty lines, aiming to complete preventive maintenance against electric shock risks and disaster factors before the Seollal holiday.
A Seo-gu official stated, “We will continue to conduct frequent inspections prioritizing school routes and densely populated residential areas to ensure no inconvenience to residents’ nighttime activities and to make Seo-gu a safe and bright district.”
