Woori Financial Group Supports Vulnerable Groups with 'Woori Hope Box' for Lunar New Year Woori Financial Group held a 'Woori Hope Box' delivery ceremony for the Lunar New Year on the 24th at the Woori Financial Group headquarters located in Hoehyeon-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul. [Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jin-ho] Woori Financial Group announced on the 24th that it held a delivery ceremony for the Lunar New Year 'Woori Hope Box' at the Woori Financial Group headquarters in Hoehyeon-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul, attended by Chairman Sohn Tae-seung and Nam Guk-hee, president of the Korea Association of Social Welfare Centers.


The 'Woori Hope Box' is composed of a total of 10 types of holiday foods and everyday groceries, including rice cake soup rice cakes, rice, dried vegetables, and seaweed, so that vulnerable groups who are going through difficult times due to the economic downturn and prolonged social distancing caused by COVID-19 can have a warm Lunar New Year holiday.


It consists of domestically produced products from small and medium-sized enterprises and social enterprises struggling due to COVID-19, contributing to increased sales for small and medium-sized enterprises and small business owners to overcome COVID-19.


The 'Woori Hope Box' will be delivered to comprehensive social welfare centers nationwide under the Korea Association of Social Welfare Centers before the Lunar New Year holiday through employees belonging to the nationwide sales headquarters of Woori Bank.


Sohn Tae-seung, chairman of Woori Financial Group, said, "Amid the freezing of Korean society as a whole due to COVID-19, I hope this support will allow our neighbors to have a warm Lunar New Year holiday."
