[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] An intellectual property promotional comic video based on the art style of Professor Lee Won-bok, who illustrated "Faraway Countries, Neighboring Countries," will be released on YouTube.

The Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) announced on the 24th that it has produced and released a total of four promotional comic videos to help the public easily understand intellectual property through case-centered stories and empathize with related policies.

The videos were created based on the comic book "Opening the Digital Powerhouse with Intellectual Property," published in August last year. Episodes 1 and 2 cover the origins of the patent system and the advent of the intellectual property era, while episodes 3 and 4 introduce recent domestic and international dispute cases and the Korean government's intellectual property policies.

Episode 1 is titled "Why the United States Dominated the World through Invention" (4 minutes 15 seconds), episode 2 is "The Korean Company That Made Apple Kneel" (4 minutes 18 seconds), episode 3 is "A Confident Story of Korean Intellectual Property" (7 minutes 32 seconds), and episode 4 is "How to Lead in the Digital Age" (6 minutes 18 seconds).

All videos can be viewed on the YouTube "IP Story Center Channel." KIPO will also hold a quiz event through this channel until the 28th of this month. Anyone who watches the videos can participate in the event, and prizes will be awarded through a drawing.

Kim Tae-eung, Director of the International Intellectual Property Training Institute at KIPO, said, "We hope that through these comic-style videos, the public can look into the past and present of the intellectual property field and prepare for the future."
