IPO is a crucial opportunity and starting point for a company's growth. It is an important process that requires a systematic approach and expertise, not just for a simple listing, but to prepare for growth by setting initial goals, internal planning, and securing competitiveness across multiple fields.
Accordingly, many venture companies plan IPOs and incorporate various support measures provided by government agencies and stock exchanges to assist with listing into their management strategies, making it one of the key strategies for growth.
As such, IPO activation strategies are greatly influenced by social trends, support, direction, operational strategies, and growth. However, attempting management without understanding these factors can never achieve significant growth. Company executives must accumulate knowledge of the values, directions, and know-how necessary for IPOs and establish systematic strategies to expect proper decision-making and corporate growth.
Therefore, many companies require IPO-related experts to acquire specialized knowledge, but the current IPO market shows a supply of professional personnel that does not meet demand, with ongoing shortages in infrastructure and educational programs.
Sogang University Graduate School of Business announced the recruitment for the 3rd cohort of the country's only IPO consulting miniMBA program amid the shortage of IPO processes, with applications open from January 10 to January 26 at 5 PM. The program targets small and medium-sized venture companies, startups, CEOs, CFOs, and unicorn companies planning IPOs. Applicants must submit a recommendation letter from their company representative, investment institution head, or related supporting organizations such as securities firms or accounting firms to be eligible.
This course provides detailed education on integrated understanding of IPOs, practical strategy formulation, growth strategies, decision-making, leadership, internal control and system maintenance, employee stock ownership associations, stock option design, due diligence practices, preparation and strategy formulation for preliminary reviews, Pre-IPO strategy demand forecasting and public offering strategies, IR strategies, and post-disclosure strategy formulation.
The curriculum is delivered by Sogang University Graduate School of Business faculty along with invited professors from lead managers, law firms, accounting firms, investment institutions, and other related organizations, ensuring high-quality education and diverse know-how transfer. Upon completion, participants receive certificates and plaques from the university president and the dean of the Graduate School of Business, can obtain IPO consulting certification, and receive support for forming various networks.
