Appointment of Ki-bo, Executive Director Jong-bae Lee, and Standing Director Eun-il Lee

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Korea Technology Finance Corporation (Chairman Kim Jong-ho, hereinafter referred to as Kibo) announced on the 24th that it has appointed Lee Jong-bae as the new Executive Director and Lee Eun-il, Head of the Busan Regional Headquarters, as the new Standing Director.

Executive Director Lee Jong-bae, born in 1965, graduated from Daegu Oseong High School and the Department of Economics at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, and earned a master's degree in economics from Sogang University. He joined Kibo in 1990 and has served as Director of the Central Technology Evaluation Institute, Branch Manager of Songpa, Chief Secretary, and Head of the Gyeonggi Regional Headquarters. Since July 2019, he has been serving as a Standing Director at Kibo. Lee is recognized for his diverse experience and capabilities in management support and technology evaluation. He is known for expanding Kibo’s scope of work by introducing the new technology evaluation system (AIRATE) and the technology trading platform, earning strong trust from employees. Going forward, he will assist the Chairman and oversee Kibo’s overall operations.

Standing Director Lee Eun-il, born in 1966, graduated from Busan Baejeong High School and the Department of Business Administration at Pusan National University. Lee joined Kibo in 1991 and has held positions such as Head of the Technology Guarantee Department, Branch Manager of Dongnae, Head of the Management Planning Department, and Head of the Busan Regional Headquarters. He is well-versed in Kibo’s core tasks of technology guarantee and technology evaluation, and is known for his strong execution skills and leadership. He will be responsible for technology evaluation, technology transaction protection, intellectual property mutual aid, and support for business recovery.


The term of Executive Director Lee Jong-bae, newly appointed this time, is until July 8, 2022, and the term of Standing Director Lee Eun-il is two years until January 23, 2024.
