[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Small and Medium Business Corporation (Chairman Kim Hak-do, hereinafter referred to as SBC) announced that it has designated the period from the 24th to the 28th as the ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) Model Management Commitment Week and will promote ESG activities company-wide.

SBC has been carrying out various activities for ESG management, including ▲responsible management for the environment and society ▲anti-corruption and integrity activities ▲providing equal opportunities to socially vulnerable groups ▲establishing a transparent institutional operation system.

The ESG Model Management Commitment Week was planned to reorganize various activities related to ESG management and to promote them intensively throughout the organization. Through this, SBC plans to spread the commitment of its executives and employees to ESG management both internally and externally and to expand the ESG management culture to small and medium venture companies.

On the 24th, to draw active interest from executives and employees in ESG management, an 'ESG Acrostic Poem Contest' will be held. On the same day, SBC plans to donate necessary items to the Pyeonggeo Comprehensive Social Welfare Center, a welfare facility located in Jinju City, to strengthen communication and coexistence with the local community.

Following this, activities such as the 'Ethics and Human Rights Pledge' for transparent management, 'Digital Diet' to reduce greenhouse gases generated by the use of digital devices, the 'ESG Model Management Implementation Declaration Ceremony,' the Lunar New Year 'Traditional Market Revitalization Campaign,' and 'Single-use Products Zero DAY' will be conducted over the course of a week.

SBC plans to promote systematic and effective ESG management activities through future revisions of related regulations and the establishment of an ESG Management Committee.
