Death of a Resident in Their 20s Due to Villa Fire in Changcheon-dong, Seoul

[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Dong-hoon] A fire broke out in a villa in Changcheon-dong, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, resulting in the death of a woman in her 20s.

According to the fire authorities on the 23rd, the fire that started on the first floor of the villa at 10:36 PM on the 22nd was extinguished around 10:41 PM when firefighters arrived at the scene. However, A (28), who was inside the house, was found dead.

There were no additional casualties reported due to the fire.

The police are investigating the exact cause of death and the origin of the fire. An autopsy on A’s body and an investigation of the fire scene are also underway.
